When I made the decision to not return for my final semester in school, I was suffocated by the fear of everyone else, but I knew in my heart I was done.
I reached a point where I was confident enough to let go of the student in me and begin to live life as a journalist.
As graduation day approached this week, my heart was still at peace knowing in that very moment, I was exactly where I was supposed to be…at the beach talking story with my new friend Brian.
The truth is, I didn’t come to Hawaii to graduate from college, I came to master the art of sharing a story and eventually write my own.
This impromptu interview was filmed with a phone and edited by yours truly. I like to consider this, my final graduation project.
Some people spend a lifetime searching for “it” and ironically, I’ve always been told “you have it.”
If that special spark is somewhere within me, then why shouldn’t I just go for “it”?
