Serious question — am I the only one not really feeling this new year vibe?!
With as much as I wish to proclaim, “2018 will be my year!” Deep down I know not to hold my breath.
As a matter of fact, I actually plan to breathe more.
Rather than suffocating myself with the pressure of publishing a book, shedding a couple of pounds, and/or finding my soul mate, I intend to spend this year surrendering to the flow of life.
Now what the hell does that even mean?!
Well I’m glad you asked, because according to my latest read, “Flow is the natural, effortless unfolding of our life, in a way that moves us toward wholeness and harmony.”
When you experience flow you become aligned with lucky circumstances and everything falls into place with ease. You find yourself having more of those “right place, right time” kind of moments, along with some creepy coincidences, like when you are thinking of your bestie and seconds later the phone starts ringing.
Maybe it’s the believer in me, but that sounds like a pretty magical way to live life.
So how does one reach this kind of nirvana?
It comes from letting go of expectations, having faith, taking risks, staying positive and being in-tune with the present moment (because that my friend, is where the magic happens).
Now, as the future-obsessed perfectionist that I am, there’s no doubt finding my flow will be a bit of a challenge, but challenges are what I live for — bring it 2018!
Here’s to letting it go and letting it flow.
